Axis Jet Taking Off
Young Company Off to Great Start in Aviation Sales and Management
SACRAMENTO January 25, 2005 – Matt Bosco and Dan Kimmel announced the creation of a new company dedicated to "serving the best interests of aircraft owners" in July 2004. Axis Jet opened its doors at Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC) this summer and has added a tremendous boost to Sacramento's General Aviation community.
In the short time since forming in July, this northern California-based aircraft sales and management company has acquired nine jet and turbine aircraft to form its managed fleet.
"We're very pleased with the early growth of Axis Jet," said co-owner Matt Bosco. "It's almost unprecedented in our industry. The momentum we've established bodes well for the future of the company and is a reflection of our clients’ confidence and our experience – even as a new company."
Axis Jet's managed fleet now includes a Citation II, King Air 350, King Air 300, King Air 200 and five King Air C90Bs.
"Aircraft management is a vital service to our client base," said co-owner Dan Kimmel. "In fact, customer requests are what drove us into management. Once we've established a relationship during an acquisition, it's ideal to carry it through the ownership experience."
While management is a key part of Axis Jet's business model, aircraft sales remains the primary focus. Since its inception, the company has processed thirteen sales transactions ranging from jets, turbroprops and pistons. Axis Jet offers a sales team approach to deals with proven sales professionals who are passionate about aviation and customer service.
"We just love what we do and the people we work with," says Bosco.
"The creation of this company comes from a desire to better serve our clients in the selection and use of their aircraft from an independent and objective point of view," says Kimmel. "Our industry contacts and experience enable us to integrate a wide variety of services that are required when purchasing and owning an aircraft."
"Our mission is to build enduring relationships with our clients who enjoy all the benefits and value that aircraft ownership has to offer," Bosco said. "Our focus is derived from our experience with Falcons, Hawkers, Citations and near-new, high-end Beechcraft family aircraft from turbine to piston."
Both Bosco and Kimmel most previously served as award-winning aircraft sales representatives for Woodland Aviation, Inc., an independent Raytheon Aircraft Sales and Service Center in Northern California.
Bosco joined Woodland Aviation in 1996, most recently serving as Vice President/Sales and Marketing. He represented the Raytheon product line for more than 10 years and began his career with Cutter Aviation in Phoenix, AZ.
Kimmel joined Woodland Aviation in 1999 and served as Aircraft Sales Manager. Previously he was employed at Elliott Aviation in Eden Prairie, MN. Prior to a career in aircraft sales, Kimmel represented Allied-Signal/Bendix King.
Both partners are Airline Transport, multi-engine, instrument pilots with experience in piston through heavy jet sales.
